Late Roman history, Byzantine Empire, spatial technologies, archeological prospecting, historical documentaries, Emperor Anastasias,Justinian, Istanbul, Constantinople, Trakya, Thrace, historic preservation, potential UN Cultural Heritage Sites, Via Egnatia
This is neat. Also gives insight on possible routes and most suitable places for settlement & agriculture.
ReplyDeleteFor crossreferencing, here is the link to the kmz file for the Wall:http://sites.google.com/site/drmmcadams/wall.kml
ReplyDeleteSince, this is a file and not a website, the message will read 'Page not found'. Look down, and there willl be another message stating 'Hare some similar pages from this site:', click on this fie.
If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, there will be a window asking if you want to open the file or save it. It is easy to open it. Once you open it, the Googel Earth application will open and will zoom to the site.
There are some corrections to the wall line near the southern end. I will make them and update the kmz fıle.
